The hub for custom, printed and private-label waterproof bags — engineered and sealed to your spec.
Custom waterproof bags are sealed, water-resistant carrying products built to your brand's specification — fabric, size, closure, hardware and decoration all engineered for your use case. QUANZHOU JUNYUAN BAGS is a specialist factory producing custom waterproof bags at 200,000 pieces a month (SGS-verified), from a 4,950 m² facility with 7 lines, 149 machines and 137 staff. This page is the hub for the custom waterproof bag category: what we build, how customisation works, and which sub-category fits your product line.
We build every sealed waterproof format. The table below maps the category to its rating and typical buyer.

When we say custom, we mean the full spec, not just a logo on a stock bag. You can specify: base fabric (PVC mesh, TPU-laminated nylon, RPET), film thickness (0.5–1.2 mm), colour (Pantone-matched), dimensions, closure (roll-top, IPX8 zip, hybrid), hardware grade, pockets, reflectivity, interior lining, decoration (screen print, DTF, UV, embroidery, patch), and retail packaging. We cut panels to your size rather than adapting a standard pattern. This is true ODM, and it starts at a 500-piece MOQ.
We rate every bag to IEC 60529. IPX6 is splash-proof for commuter totes and event pouches. IPX7 survives 30 minutes at one metre of submersion — the sweet spot for beach totes, coolers and day packs. IPX8 is continuous submersion, reserved for roll-top dry bags and phone pouches. Materials range from budget 0.5 mm PVC to premium 1.0–1.2 mm TPU-laminated nylon, with RPET recycled options for eco brands. We never label a bag higher than it is tested to.
The process runs six stages: RFQ, tech pack, sampling (6–10 working days), material prep, welded production with in-line QC, and AQL-inspected DDP delivery. The first sample revision is free. Most clients approve on the second sample. Read the detail on the process page.

A stock bag becomes a branded product once decoration is applied. We run screen print, full-colour DTF heat-transfer, UV print, embroidery and sewn woven/leather patches in-house. Screen print suits 1–4 spot colours at volume; DTF suits full-colour artwork; embroidery and patches suit premium outdoor lines. Compare methods on printed bags and private label.
Our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and social compliance audited under amfori BSCI. We supply CE, CPC and RoHS documentation, with REACH and Prop 65 reports on request. Waterproof performance is tested in-house to IEC 60529, and we arrange third-party SGS/BV/Intertek inspection when buyers require it. Our return rate is below 1.8%.
DTC outdoor brands, international distributors, corporate gifting agencies and industrial/contract buyers. Our order book is deliberately mixed across these channels, which keeps our lines flexible and QC battle-tested. Read outcomes on case studies.
Before you quote, decide three things: the use case, the waterproof rating needed, and the price band. The use case determines the format — a paddler needs a roll-top dry bag, a commuter needs a zip backpack, a beach retailer needs a printed tote. The rating determines the material — IPX6 needs only coated fabric and taped seams; IPX7/IPX8 needs welded construction. The price band determines film thickness and decoration. We will recommend the combination that matches your target retail price and customer. If you are unsure, send us your reference and target retail price and we will propose the spec.
PVC-mesh is the budget workhorse: glossy, stiff, inexpensive, ideal for promotional dry bags and beach totes. TPU-laminated 420D/840D nylon is lighter and suppler with a matte hand, which is why outdoor brands choose it for hiking backpacks and expedition dry bags. RPET recycled TPU gives an eco story and can be certified under the Textile Exchange GRS. Coated ripstop nylon is the lightest option for packable stuff sacks. Film thickness runs 0.5 mm (promo) to 1.2 mm (expedition). Heavier film costs more but survives longer; we spec it to your warranty window.
| Price band | Material | Feels like |
|---|---|---|
| Promotional | 0.5 mm PVC | Budget, glossy |
| Mid retail | 0.7 mm TPU nylon | Modern, matte |
| Premium outdoor | 1.0–1.2 mm TPU nylon | Durable, supple |
| Eco-led | RPET recycled TPU | Matte, sustainable |
The closure is the second leak point. Roll-top closures are the most reliable IPX8 option — no zipper to fail. IPX8 waterproof zippers let you open one-handed and suit commuter backpacks and camera pouches, but cost more and wear faster under sand and saltwater. We offer a hybrid: roll-top main plus a zip front pocket. Hardware matters too: we offer standard buckles for promo lines and ITW/Duraflex-equivalent acetal hardware for premium outdoor lines, with Pantone-matched webbing and reflective options for night safety.
We supply custom hangtags, barcode and FNSKU labels, header cards, polybags and mailer boxes. Amazon sellers get FNSKU-ready units. We ship DDP to 100+ countries with one landed price. Our quality system is ISO 9001:2015-certified, social compliance audited under amfori BSCI, and we supply CE, CPC, RoHS, REACH and Prop 65 documentation. Waterproof ratings follow IEC 60529.
Each sub-category has its own engineering and commercial profile. Dry bags are our highest-volume and most search-demanded line — roll-top, welded, IPX7/IPX8, from 1L to 50L, detailed on the dry bag pillar. Backpacks add carry-system ergonomics: padded straps, sternum strap, laptop sleeve, on a welded shell; see tote & backpack. Totes are welded rigid-base bags with webbing handles, popular for beach and corporate gifting. Cooler backpacks pair a welded food-grade liner with EVA foam insulation. Phone pouches are IPX8 with touch windows and lanyards, a high-add-on promo SKU. Printed bags add full-colour branding, detailed on printed bags. Private-label bags add your hangtags, woven labels and packaging, detailed on logo & private label.

Every custom project starts with a sample (6–10 working days, first revision free). You approve the physical sample before bulk. Bulk runs 35–50 days with in-line QC every two hours and AQL 2.5 final inspection. We share photo updates at sample approval, cutting, welding and pre-shipment. Reorders reproduce from your approved tech pack without re-sampling. Read the full workflow on the process page and order thresholds on the MOQ guide.
We tailor the build to your channel. DTC outdoor brands take 500–2,000 piece first runs of dry bags and backpacks, then reorder quarterly. Distributors take 5,000–10,000 piece mixed replenishment. Corporate gifting agencies take 500–2,000 printed totes and coolers per event. Industrial buyers take custom welded pouches and tool rolls on standing POs. Tell us your channel and target retail price and we will recommend the spec and quantity tier that fits. Read outcomes on case studies.
Your landed cost depends on four levers: material grade, decoration, quantity and packaging. At 500 pcs the unit carries a setup penalty; at 5,000+ pcs the setup is spread across more units and unit cost drops. We show the price ladder in the quote so you can see the savings at each tier. Because waterproof bags pack flat, freight per unit is low, which protects your margin. We quote DDP so the landed price you compare against your retail price already includes duties. Tell us your target retail and we will spec to your margin. See the MOQ guide for tier detail.
When you compare quotes, ask four questions. First, is the bag welded or stitched-and-taped? Welded is truly waterproof; taped stitching is splash-resistant. Second, ask for the SGS-verified monthly capacity — a factory that claims volume without third-party verification cannot hold your reorder. Third, ask for a pressure-tested sample, not just a photo. Fourth, ask whether decoration is in-house or outsourced — outsourced print drifts colour between sample and bulk. Our 200,000 pcs/month SGS-verified capacity, in-house decoration and welded-only waterproof construction answer all four. Compare against any quote and you will see the difference.
Short definitions to help you quote confidently. IPX7/IPX8: IEC 60529 ratings — IPX7 survives 30 minutes at 1 m depth; IPX8 is continuous submersion. RF welding: high-frequency fusion of TPU/PVC into a monolithic seam, no needle holes. DDP: delivered duty paid, one landed price. MOQ: minimum order quantity, 500 pcs here. AQL 2.5: the sampling standard for final inspection. Pantone: the colour-matching system we match fabric and print to. If a supplier uses these terms without testing them, ask for the test report.
500 pieces per SKU/colourway. Reorders on simpler styles can drop to 300.

Every custom waterproof bag project begins the same way: you send a reference, a sketch, or a link to a competitor bag, plus your target use case and destination country. We reply within 24 hours with a quote range and a recommended spec. If you approve, we write the tech pack and build a sample in 6–10 working days. The first sample revision is free. There is no cost to ask a question — many buyers start by asking whether their idea is feasible at a 500-piece MOQ. It usually is.
Stock bags are cheap but generic: the same listing competes with ten other sellers, and price erodes margin. Custom bags let you own the design, the size and the branding, and sell on your brand rather than on price. A 500-piece custom run is a manageable first investment that produces a product no competitor can list. We handle the engineering, decoration and DDP shipping so you can focus on selling.
Choose your sub-category — dry bags, printed bags, private label, or totes & backpacks — or request a quote with your reference sample. We reply within 24 hours.
Our minimum is 500 pieces per style. A style is one construction: one pattern, one fabric and one closure system, so a 20L and a 30L roll-top count as two styles. Every new style needs its own tech pack, cutting pattern and physical sample, built in 6–10 working days. After you approve the sample, bulk takes 35–50 days, followed by final inspection to AQL 2.5 and DDP shipping to 100+ countries. For a first market test, 500 pieces is normally enough to cover one full colourway run.
It runs in six stages. You send a reference, sketch or a link plus target use case; we reply within 24 hours with a quote range and recommended spec. Our engineers write the tech pack, then we build a sample in 6–10 working days. Once approved, T/T terms apply: 30% deposit, 70% before shipment. Bulk runs 35–50 days with in-line QC, followed by AQL 2.5 final inspection, container-loading photos and DDP dispatch. The first sample revision is free.
Yes. Send a hand sketch, a photo, a spec sheet or a competitor link showing the fit you like. Our engineering team writes the full tech pack: dimensions, film thickness, Pantone colour references, weld overlap, hardware grade and print placement. We then cut a prototype and sample it in 6–10 working days. The first revision round is free, and most buyers approve on the second sample. Every development is quoted at the same 500 pieces per style MOQ.
Standard terms are T/T with a 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment. We quote FOB Xiamen for buyers running their own freight, or DDP to 100+ countries where we handle export declaration, ocean or air freight, destination duties, customs clearance and last-mile delivery to your warehouse. Every shipment ships with commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. HS classification follows the WCO HS Nomenclature so there are no surprise duty invoices on arrival.
Every bag is engineered to a defined IEC 60529 rating rather than a vague claim: IPX6 for powerful spray, IPX7 for 30 minutes at one metre, IPX8 for continuous submersion. Seams are RF- or hot-air welded so there are no needle holes, welders test a sample seam every two hours during the run, and finished cartons are sampled to AQL 2.5. We have operated our 4,950 m² SGS-verified production facility since 2014. Ask service@junyuanbags.com for the latest test report.
